I had a fine time watching three band recreate three great albums from 1973 at Club Iota last saturday.
Selling Fairfax by the Pound (pictured above) led the series and were just amazing. Really spot on in their recreation of Genesis’ prog rock masterpiece “Selling England by the Pound”. The Beanstalk Library then performed songs from Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, and finally Echoes (pictured below) did a spectacular version of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon”. Really great stuff.
Iota is apparently doing a series of these theme nights so It’d be good to see more.
