About: I'm a singer/songwriter who uses lots of synths. My music kinda sounds like Thomas Dolby meets a National Geographic Special. It's great for your road trips, travels, or simple office escapes.

Wall Drug

October 13th, 2011 by Fitz, Travel Adventures & Places, 0 Comments

Wall Drug = “Western” South of the Border

It’s impossible to travel along the Eastern part of South Dakota without coming across a billboard or two urging you to visit Wall Drug. What is this place? It’s an oddly compelling mishmash of “Ye Ole’ Western Town” and well, a drug store. It’s classic Americana where camp meets capitalism. You can shop at several western-ish stores, have your picture taken on a giant Jackelope, see an 80 foot dinosaur, and then stock up on prescription-strength foot creme. For all the kitch it’s hard not to like the place so if you’re in the area I say stop in for a gander.
